I just asked one of baristas for some advice on how to start my own business (coffee shop) and he said that I should get a job at a coffee shop , so that I can get the feel for it. What do you think ? is he right? When will this new shoppe be opening?

This looks to be a really solid cafe for any Barista looking to step it up to the next level. If I ever find myself near Oakland, I'll have to come check it out. I really like the idea of the cafe creator card. It sorta works like stock. They invest in you, and you give back, with interest. Hope you guys find a good staff, as its the most crucial part of any cafe.

It does, I love serving the public. To me it's the Ideal job for someone who loves to talk to people and who likes to move around which I do. If anyone reads this, I am actually in the Los Angeles area and I'm looking to start working as a barista really soon. I can't wait any longer. My ultimate goal is to own my own cafe. So if anyone out there knows of a great place to work at besides Star...feel free to let me know.
