you have to free pour the bottom most layers, and as you get further up the glass I tend to use a spoon to ensure good seperation.

yea most of the milk/foam in first but leaving some back to allow the lightning of each layer as you add the coffee.

hope you have fun trying it ...if you manage more than 6 post up a pic :)

thanks for the comment :) as for order of the layering there isn't one really, it comes down to timing when adding the shot and using a slightly longer draws. For that drink in specificthe lighter layer was added first timed to when the milk just starts to settle and about 1/2 a shot of coffee, more milk is added immediatley after this to lighten the colour, then just repeat to get the desired effect. The hard part is getting the layers to stay seperate and not merge together.....the most we have had was a 6 layer latte but more than that is eluding me at the minute.
